Experimental · Not an emergency service

Safety boundaries

Proofline is experimental software. It is not emergency dispatch, a guaranteed real-time safety system, or a replacement for contacting emergency services.

Safety

No emergency dispatch

Proofline does not currently contact emergency services. Users and trusted contacts remain responsible for calling emergency services if they believe someone is in immediate danger.
Safety

No guaranteed real-time review

Proofline is not a guaranteed real-time safety, monitoring, rescue, or response system.
Not yet

Notifications are not production-ready

Trusted-contact SMS, email, push, Messenger, live review, and safety-check escalation workflows are not production behavior, and they do not include emergency-services contact.
Security-sensitive

Key access is under design

Production trusted-contact key access, browser decryption, and any server-assisted break-glass access are security-sensitive areas under active design. Current wrapped-key records are metadata, not a complete decryption workflow.

What users and contacts need to know

  • Do not wait for Proofline if immediate help is needed.
  • Do not assume a recording was uploaded, reviewed, or decrypted.
  • Do not assume a missed safety check contacted anyone.
  • Do not assume legal admissibility or legal advice.
  • Do not assume public hosted accounts or support exist today.
  • Check current project docs before relying on a feature.
